Animal rescue donation.

Over that last few months we have been donating a few of our oak feeders to rescue centers to help them with their much needed fund raising. These rescues have been voted for via the fans of our facebook page but this has meant that with the power of facebook the rescues with the biggest following got the most votes while the smaller ones didn't stand a chance.

This time we have ran a comp where we pick one facebook page fan to pick a rescue for us meaning that any rescue has as much chance as any other. The winner has picked CATS Claws and tails rescue. I'll get one sent off to them shortly, they can then either use it or auction/raffle it to raise funds, I really do wish them well with it.

Cats is a small rescue based in Essex which is run solely by volunteers. They do a fantastic job, just as many rescues do, always putting the animals welfare first. All this hard work does come at a cost and  they are always on the look out for donations no matter the the size, be it a bit of cash, animal feed, bedding etc. I know personally how much vet fee's can be just on my few animals, I dread to think how much it is for a rescue, so if you think you could help in anyway please contact them. They also have a help line should you need re-homing advice which can be found on their website, just follow the link above.

On a slightly less positive note during the comp some facebookers have complained about having to enter their email address to enter the comp, probably the same email they have opened a social media account with, a bit ironic don't you think? I do feel that facebook privacy is only a theory anyway but I don't want to dwell on this as these are facebooks rules not ours. As for our next donation I think we are going to move over here, on to the blog and away from facebooks rules and regulations. Watch this space as they say!
