Oak Floating Shelves

For centuries if you were putting a shelf up in your home it was because you needed it for storage, many of the times these shelves were placed in cupboards or tucked out of the way. Oh how things have changed and today shelves are just as much a decorative piece of furniture as they are a functional item.

Our floating oak shelves have become one of our best selling items with 1000’s and 1000’s sold. A mark of the quality can be gauged by the amount of return customers we have on them and many not only return once but again and again as they add extra shelves around the house.

As with any of our products we offer a made to measure service, details can be found on our questions and answers page. One of our listed sizes might not be what you had in mind or you might want to fit them to alcoves. We can also round corners by any radius, just state it when ordering.

All our shelves are supplied complete with brackets that are adjustable meaning that any “sag” can be adjusted out ensuring the shelf sits perfectly flat.A fitting guide can be found on our site to assist in fitting.

Our floating shelves are engineered  from smaller  pieces solid oak to produce a shelf that will stay flat and straight for years and years to come. Years ago some of our early floating shelves were from single pieces of oak but it became clear quite quickly that this wouldn’t be suitable in all applications and in areas of very high or very low humidity that some shelves were warping, modern central heating systems don’t help either.  Our process off engineering these shelves has reduced this to zero meaning our shelves can be used anywhere in the home. Each shelf once made is carefully cut to the required size before being sand and finished to the same high standard as any of our items of furniture.

I do feel our prices are fair and also keep an eye on what the competition are doing. One thing to remember if you are comparing prices is to ensure your comparing like for like.  Some companies charge you for the shelf, then extra for brackets, oiling, rounding corners, postage etc etc. On our site the price you see is the price you pay, delivered, oiled and waxed and ready to fit. If you do find a lower price on a like for like product or have any questions please contact us.
